What a difference a year makes!

This was my chicken house last year in March. Blah, bland and boring. Nothing much to look at, I thought it stuck out like a sore thumb in the middle of the yard. Functional, but not quite what I was looking for, or wanted to look at for that matter. It was a pain in the ass to build, and I swear I still have scars from dealing with all that wire. As a matter of fact, I still wake up screaming from nightmares about how to get things level and even! (kidding) Fast forward a year...look what I have now!

It's covered with Climbing Roses and Clematis, and the border garden along the front has filled in nicely. There are Ornamental Grasses, Lillies, Iris, and even Strawberries. Here it is from another angle.

Ignore the cute little duckies wandering in front of the run. This is not their house. They were out free-ranging for a couple of hours and they wanted to be in the picture. Show-offs. Camera hogs. Anyway, I think it looks a whole lot better than when I started. What do you think?
